Boulder Chamber houses international trade office

BOULDER — The Boulder Chamber of Commerce has landed a partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service, a Department of Commerce service that helps small- and medium-size business promote their goods and services overseas.

Cheryl Walden-Kennedy, a commercial service senior international trade specialist, is spending Tuesdays and Thursdays at the chamber, meeting with individual businesses and holding seminars and classes.

Walden-Kennedy’s salary is paid by the Commerce Department, and there is no fee for companies that need help with exporting issues, said Susan Bond, director of the Boulder Economic Council, also housed at the chamber.

The Small Business Development Center, a joint venture between the Boulder Chamber and the U.S. Small Business Administration, is promoting Walden-Kennedy’s service to both chamber members and nonmembers.

Walden-Kennedy can be reached at the chamber at (303) 442-1044.
