Catapult PR-IR, a Boulder-based public relations/investor relations firm specializing in technology companies, has promoted Brad Shannon to senior account executive and Sara Yelton to account executive.

ARCHITECTURE, CONSTRUCTION

The Structural Engineers Association of Colorado has named its new team of officers for 2001. Edward Buteyn (Jirsa-Hedrick & Associates) is president, Brent Norris (J.R. Harris & Co.) is vice-president/treasurer, Jack Petersen (Martin/Martin) is secretary, and William Zimmermann II (Zimkor Industries Inc.) is one of the directors along with Bruce Wolfe (Structural Consultants Inc.) and John Garlich (Rocky Mountain Prestress).

Rick New has been elected a principal by the board of directors of Downing, Thorpe & James Inc., a Boulder architectural firm. New is director of residential architecture for the company.

BANKING, FINANCE

Wells Fargo Bank has named as vice presidents Diana M. Dreiling, Aurora; Priscilla Lucero, Pueblo; Christopher M. Maliff, Institutional Trust Group; Dominic Martinez, Aurora; and Jill A. Sauter, Greeley. It also named as assistant vice presidents Randy Lucero, Denver and Peggy L. Timm, Institutional Trust Group.

Timothy D. Wiens has been named chairman of Compass Bank-Colorado and Scot T. Wetzel has joined the bank as president.

Heritage Bank, which is headquartered in Louisville and has branches in Boulder, Lafayette and Erie, has named Marsha Sword vice president of branch operations. Heidi Hahn was named special projects director. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENTTom Frew, president of Heritage Bank in Louisville, was elected president of the Louisville Chamber of Commerce for 2001. He has served on the board for the past two years.HEALTH CAREArray BioPharma Inc. of Boulder has appointed John L. Zabriskie to its board of directors. He is former president and chief executive officer of Pharmacia Upjohn.

Sally Buczek has been named administrator at Healthsouth Boulder and Longmont Therapy Facilities.

Sylvia Wyant has joined Susan Melching Inc. Skin Care Professionals in Boulder as a certified therapeutic touch practitioner. Wyant has more than 14 years experience in the field.HIGH TECHSeagate, a California-based storage technology company with a design site in Longmont, has named Jeremy Tennenbaum as executive vice president, business development and strategic planning. In this newly created position, Tennenbaum will be responsible for expanding Seagate’s core business as a storage technology provider. He replaces Tom Mulvaney, senior vice president of Seagate’s Internet Solutions Group.

Broomfield-based information technology solutions provider Aardvark Computer Services Ltd. named Ed Azar and Dan Rende to its technical sales team at its Denver office.

ManagedStorage International Inc. of Broomfield, a global storage service provider, has appointed Richard Montoni as executive vice president and chief financial officer of the company.

Boulder-based Accumedia, a provider of interactive media solutions, has hired Cary Tengler as vice president of strategic alliances, Barbara Tygesen as vice president of professional services and John Leonte as director of sales.

Rebecca Thomas has been appointed vice president of client services for Veripost, an e-mail change of address service based in Superior. She held a similar position with MessageMedia Inc., an e-mail marketing company.

Broomfield-based McData Corp., a network storage provider, has chosen Janet Cooper as its new chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance and administration. Cooper comes from Qwest Communications where she was senior vice president of finance.

Network Photonics, an optical networking company headquartered in Boulder, has appointed Merle McCreery as vice president of finance and administration. McCreery was chief financial officer for International Language Engineering Corp., a globalization services company.

Ben Addoms has been named chairman of the board for Ereo Inc., a rich-media search provider in Westminster. Addoms takes over for Pete Estler, Ereo’s founder and former board chairman, who will focus on managing the iBelay investment fund and company operations.

HOSPITALITY, RECREATION

Snowmass Village Resort Association has named Jim France as president of the organization. He replaces Terry Hunt, who resigned earlier in 2000.

INSURANCE

Don Collins has been named vice president of sales and marketing for Denver-based Pinnacol Assurance, a firm that specializes in workers’ compensation claims.

Ed Kosorok, an Allstate Insurance agent at the company’s Thornton office, is now licensed to provide customers with a host of investment products, including variable annuity and variable life and mutual fund products.

Scot Morrison, an agent in the Longmont office of Shelter Insurance Companies, has completed a personal and business insurance class at the company’s home office in Columbia, Mo. The class provided additional training in life and health insurance, personal lines of insurance and package policies used by businesses.

LAW

Seven attorneys have been elected as partners of the law firm Holland & Hart Attorneys at Law LLP. They are: Teresa Burkett Buffington, Cheyenne office; Elizabeth R. Carney, Denver office; Daniel J. Glivar, Denver office; Jim Goh, Denver office; Lee Frederick Johnston, Denver office; William L. Lawrence, Denver office; and W. Scott Mitchell, Billings, Mont. office.

NON-PROFIT

The Boulder Jaycees, a community service group, has elected a new board of directors for 2001. The president is Bill Flinchbaugh, the management vice president is Kelly Eargle, the individual development vice president is Cori Flinchbaugh, the membership vice president is Luke Wyckoff, and the three directors are Kathy Peterson, Mary Heinrichs and Mark Jagaciewski.

The Arts and Humanities Assembly of Boulder County (AHAB) has named Sherri Silverman Ph.D. executive director and Camilla Beck assistant director. AHAB provides resources for arts organizations, artists and educators throughout Boulder County.

OTHER

Joseph Juhasz, a professor of architecture and environmental design at the University of Colorado at Boulder, has been named president-elect of the population and environmental division of the American Psychological Association.
