Free Air Quality Packet can help citizens, businesses fight pollution

BOULDER — It’s beginning to look a lot like winter, and that means snow, skiing and, of course, pollution.

The Boulder Energy Conservation Commission is providing a free Air Quality Packet to help citizens become part of the “pollution solution,” rather than the pollution problem.

The BECC’s packet details a few tips and practices families can do to help decrease pollution this winter. Included in the packet are:

Ways to thank a caregiver

If you have a caregiver or know someone who has been serving as a primary caregiver, March 3rd is the day to reach out and show them how much they are valued!

* Maintain cars, get regular tune-ups and keep tires inflated.

* Reduce trips by combining errands.

* Take alternative transportation.

* Replace old stoves

Businesses can also call Partners for a Clean Environment (PACE) for information, ideas and technical assistance on pollution prevention for small industries.
