Johnstown men arrested for selling Boulder ag water to fracking company

A scheme by two Johnstown men to fraudulently sell city of Boulder water tabbed for agricultural uses to a fracking company in Fort Lupton has led to their arrests.

The Daily Camera reports that Norman Armstead and his nephew Donald Armstead made about $800,000 in profits off of the scheme, which involved them buying excess water from the city and routing it through ditch companies to A&W Water in Fort Lupton.
