Plans for new King Soopers-anchored shopping center in Fort Collins withdrawn
Plans for a new shopping center on the west side of South College Avenue near Carpenter Road in Fort Collins — one that was to be anchored by a King Soopers grocery store — have been nixed.
The Coloradoan reports that Evergreen Development has dropped the plans, citing some $8 million in development costs and a lack of willingness by the city to help defray some of those costs as a deal-breaking hurdle for the project.
