Tennessee firm proposes 42-unit student apartment complex
The Tennessee company that paid $581,000 per unit to acquire the The Province student apartments in Boulder last year now has its sights set on building student housing in Fort Collins.
The Coloradoan reports that EdR, formerly known as Education Realty Trust, will on Monday discuss with city officials preliminary plans for 42 apartments in a six-story building on a half-acre parcel at 1303 Plum St., just west of the Colorado State University campus.
EdR paid $48.8 million in September for the 84-unit The Province in Boulder, a complex where four-bedroom units start in price at $954 per bedroom per month.
