CU’s economic forecast slated for Dec. 8

Dan Caruso, co-founder and CEO of Boulder-based Zayo Group, will keynote the University of Colorado’s annual Colorado Business Economic Outlook Forum on Dec. 8 at the Grand Hyatt hotel, 1750 Welton St., in Denver.

The event is free and open to the public, but reservations (http://www.eventbrite.com/e/2015-colorado-business-economic-outlook-forum-tickets-13312172065) are required.

The outlook, compiled by the Business Research Division at CU’s Leeds School of Business, for 2015 will include forecasts for 13 business sectors, as well as economic snapshots from specific counties and regions in the state, updates on things like population and personal income growth, and a peek at the national economy.

Economist Richard Wobbekind, executive director of the Business Research Division, will present the forecast.

In addition to the keynote address, Caruso will also take part in a CEO panel discussion that will include Eric Roza of Datalogix and former Rudi’s Organic Bakery CEO Jane Miller.

 

There will be breakout sessions on energy development, real estate and “Colorado Then and Now.”

 

The event marks the 50th year of CU presenting the forecast.
